Performance Management Analyst
We are looking to employ a Performance Management Analyst to be based in London and to work with us on a Full Time basis.

What we are looking for
The Performance Management Analyst will work on innovative performance applications specific to the Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets insurance business. The role is across all lines of business and brands of Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets but not limited to this.
The primary function of this role is to develop best in class performance management structures and analytically identify actionable insights on all Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets business. This role is instrumental in establishing the foundation for performance management and would suit someone who enjoys the ownership and independence of this position. You will see your work used in real business applications as well as shaping new products.
You will work closely with the Commercial, Technical and Operations functions of Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets as well as other teams across the Munich Re family as we develop our products and as part of managing the on-going relationships within the wider group.
The Role
Assist in developing a comprehensive performance analytics framework, utilising a blend of lead- and lag indicators to inform next-best performance improvement actions
Developing a culture of “actionable analytics” across the business
Creation, adaption and development of a comprehensive suite of reports to measure team KPIs, plans and goals against target and report findings to leaders in Distribution & Chief Distribution Officer
Assist in developing and running a control cycle framework to monitor performance and iteratively improve
Enhance the existing framework for performance management using optimisation techniques and scenario analysis
Maintain monthly monitoring reports and ensure accuracy of the reports through reconciliation process and working directly with stakeholders to ensure accuracy
Assist with analytical process enhancements in the wider Commercial, Technical and Operations functions
Assist in developing a wholistic performance view of the business for NB, RN and service levels across all brokers and brands within Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets
Application of advanced Machine Learning techniques in pricing, portfolio selection and business optimisation
Communicate analysis, findings and recommendations to various stakeholders and senior executives
Sharing insightful modelling techniques and interesting results with the wider Munich Re analytics community
Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
You are required to comply with the PRA and FCA conduct rules.
Key Skills & Experience
Undergraduate degree in a numerical subject or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Some experience of statistical programming and scripting languages such as SQL, R or Python Experience working within the insurance industry as a data analyst, data scientist, PowerBI developer or similar
Excellent oral and written communication skills
