Peer Trainer Assessor - Up to £28,500 - BicesterLocation: BicesterReference: (phone number removed)Are you a dynamic, meticulously organized, and collaborative professional with substantial experience in delivering training or assessing vocational qualifications for adults facing adversity? Can you effectively support individuals with multiple and complex needs in challenging environments? If so, our client are actively seeking a dedicated Peer Trainer Assessor to work collaboratively within a prison-based setting, providing essential support to individuals working as peer supporters and wellbeing navigators. In this key role, you will be responsible for training, supporting, and assessing peer supporters to achieve their Level 3 Certificate in Advice and Guidance, as well as other vocational qualifications. Your efforts will contribute to enabling these individuals to progress onto further opportunities and sustainable employment. About the Role:As a Peer Trainer Assessor, you will be embedded within a prison-based setting, assessing the suitability of applicants to become Wellbeing peer supporters. You will guide them through the Learning to Advise course, ensuring timely completion of relevant paperwork, and delivering additional Emotional Resilience/Wellbeing units as needed. Your role will also involve working with allocated learners to create realistic assessment plans and providing one-to-one support while monitoring their progress towards certification. Collaborating to design and deliver emotional resilience/wellbeing training sessions is a crucial aspect of this position, as is working constructively with colleagues to achieve pilot targets and supporting local community projects. What We Are Looking For: Experience working to targets and recording information for effective performance monitoring. Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training or equivalent teaching/assessor certification. Understanding of the challenges faced by project participants in accessing and sustaining training or employment. Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of the issues faced by our client group, particularly barriers faced by individuals entering prison. Ability to support and motivate learners with multiple complex needs, applying a creative approach to learning and assessing. Effective assessment skills using a range of assessment methods.
