With an unrivalled reputation within the building services sector, we offer a comprehensive Mechanical and Electrical design, installation, and maintenance service across many sectors.The role To supervise and support an efficient and established Payroll Department, ensuring all duties and responsibilities are carried out in a timely and professional manner and be responsible for the so ordination of payroll processing operations. You will be covering sites across the country all with several differing holiday years and numerous contractual differences due to incoming TUPE transfers. Previous experience of engineering or contract payroll would be useful but not essential.Main Duties: Supervise, motivate, and lead a payroll team, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Mentor team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Maintain and meet payroll deadlines, overseeing the workload of the payroll team. Ensure payroll compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Balance payroll accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy. Support the processing of new starters, leavers, timesheets, calculating pay, holiday pay, Maternity and paternity pay and HMRC submissions. Act as the primary point of contact for escalated payroll queries. Manage stakeholder relationships, addressing concerns, and setting expectations.You will need: Excellent IT Literacy including Word, Excel and Email Excellent verbal & written communication skills Excellent organisation skills Previous experience as a Payroll Team Leader or Supervisor Experience of payroll processes and compliance.The Package:Reporting into the Financial Director; you will be working for a company who will offer you a structured opportunity to progress your career and offer continued support and training.
