DescriptionSupervise and mentor a team of 5 payroll assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.Coordinate and oversee the processing of payroll for over 2000 employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.Manage payroll-related tasks such as calculating wages, processing deductions, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.Collaborate with the HR department to administer employee benefits, deductions, and adjustments accurately.Stay up-to-date on relevant payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.Prepare and analyse payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and identifying areas for improvement.Handle payroll inquiries and resolve employee concerns or discrepancies promptly and professionally.Implement and maintain efficient payroll processes and procedures to streamline operations and improve productivity.Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll data and records at all times.ProfileMinimum of at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP etc)Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.May be working towards an accountancy degree Job OfferPayroll SupervisorSalary £45k - £52k DOE25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holiday Company Pension Life AssuranceIncome Protection
