Job Overview:Our client is a reputable accountancy looking to appoint a Payroll Assistant to join their team. We are looking for a payroll candidate who has a background in technical systems, confident in payroll processes and a team player.Duties:- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for employees- Collect and verify timesheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness- Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings- Prepare payroll reports for management review- Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system- Assist with the administration of benefits programs, including enrollment and changes- Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll and employee information- Assist with year-end payroll activities, such as W-2 preparationRequirements:- Proven experience in payroll administration or a related field- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data accurately- Proficiency in accounting software, such as xero or brightpay- Familiarity with accounts payable processes is a plus- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee informationApply today to be part of their dynamic team
