This organisation are known for a vast range of providing educational services that support students through individualistic character and personal development. This organisation has recently used part of their budget for open plan newly, refurbished and modern office. Within this team they work on a principle of one team; they are a highly trusted organisation that listen to all because they understand the power of people.Job DescriptionReporting to the Head of Finance and Financial Controller, you'll lead the Payroll function to achieve outstanding results for transactional activity. You will be surrounded by a supportive, well-established, competent Finance Team. This role will focus on the overseeing of day-to-day payroll operations by working closely with a variety of different departments including HR to monitor and manage payroll budgets. Within this role you will also have the opportunity to analyse financial data to assist in the preparation of monthly and annual finance reporting.Key Responsibilities of a Payroll Officer:Management and analysis of cashflow and other daily transactionsPreparing bank sheet reconciliationsFollow and reconcile bank transactionsPreparation of month end payroll journals and processing monthly payroll.Supporting/Leading on aspects of annual auditsAdhere to company/organisation financial policies and procedures.For this role you must have prior experience within Payroll.The Successful ApplicantThe successful a Payroll Officer should possess:Extensive experience of working in a fast paced, customer focused environment;Experience of transactional and operational Finance including Payroll;Experience of working in a finance environment including a sound knowledge of finance and accounting systems, budget management and expense management;Excellent written communication skills with the ability to research, analyse data, produce reports, and present findings clearly and concisely in a variety of formats;Excellent planning, organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.What's on OfferOn offer to the candidate:Attractive hourly rate of £14.36-£20.74Possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff35 days holiday (including BH)Friendly, committed and well-established teamBirthdays off2 weeks paid Christmas and New Year leave
