Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities of an Payroll Officer will include, but may not be limited to; Accurately process payroll in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with all payroll related regulationsManage and resolve any payroll-related queriesMaintain up-to-date employee recordsPrepare reports detailing payroll expensesCoordinate with HR for any changes affecting payrollAssist in the preparation of year-end reports and auditIdentify areas for improvement in the payroll process and recommend solutions The Successful Applicant A successful Payroll Officer should have:An educational background in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience in a payroll officer role, preferably within the Not For Profit and Charities sector - education desirableStrong knowledge of payroll software and systemsExcellent numerical skills and attention to detailGood understanding of payroll legislation and regulationsAbility to handle confidential information professionallyAbility to commute to Stoke-on-Trent What's on OfferOn offer to the candidate; Immediate start opportunityTemporary position of 30 hours per weekA competitive hourly rate between £11.00 - £12.00Opportunity to work within a respected Not For Profit organisationA supportive and inclusive company cultureJoin a team committed to making a positive impact in the community
