As they have experienced recent growth they are now looking for an Payroll Officer to join the finance team in Sheffield on a permanent basis.Job DescriptionThe Payroll Officer will be responsible for:Utilising the time and attendance system to record and keep employee records up-to-dateUpdating employee personal information records and communicating to verify and revise as neededRunning and reviewing payroll reports using the appropriate software and maintaining precise practices, records, and filing systems for auditing purposesValidating working hours to ensure accurate reportingAddressing internal and external payroll inquiries, including those from employees, HR, Finance colleagues, HMRC, etc., in a precise and professional mannerPrecisely issuing P45s and P60s within the designated time framesDeveloping standardized operating procedures for all payroll processesConducting root cause analysis on errors and implementing procedures to minimise mistakesThe Successful ApplicantA proven track record within a similar roleProficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly ExcelAttention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness in all tasksEffective written and verbal communication skills in a professional mannerExceptional organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectivelyWhat's on OfferSalary up to £30,000 + Pension + Free parking + Progression + 25 days holidays plus banks and many more...
