Are you looking for a role within a friendly, professional payroll bureau? At 1 Less Worry Payroll Services, we offer a wide range of payroll and auto enrolment services to a variety of clients across the UK.

We are recruiting for a Part Time Payroll Officer 25 hours per week, to join our small friendly team to process payrolls and auto enrolment for our clients.

We are flexible in working hours to suit the right candidate, required to work five days per week (Monday to Friday) 5 hours per day. Core hours 9:30 to 14:30

Payroll Officer Duties to include:

• Setting up new payroll clients using Brightpay or Xero payroll software


• Processing of weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and monthly payrolls


• Processing of new employees and leavers


• Calculation of statutory payment to include SSP, SMP, SPP


• Calculation of holiday entitlement and pro rata pay.


• Liaising with clients and HMRC regarding payroll queries


• Pension scheme administration to include auto enrolment duties, monthly submissions, postponements including employee correspondence and liaising with pension providers.


• CIS processing for both contractors and subcontractors and CIS suffered.


• Continuous monitoring of wage and pension rates to ensure complete compliance.

Payroll Officer Role Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years payroll experience, ideally gained within a bureau environment.


• Ability to confidently deal with most aspects of payroll and to build strong relationships with allocated clients.


• Excellent IT skills and a good standard of education


• Experience using Brightpay and Xero would be advantageous.
