Job DescriptionChange Financial Services are currently working with our Glasgow City Centre client to recruit a payroll specialist to their team. Initially on a 12 month interim basis but with scope to convert to a permanent role, the successful candidate will be responsible for taking a lead role with the processing of UK and International payroll with in and outsourced elements as well as providing payroll support and advice to the business.Applicants must have UK payroll experience and experience working on complex multi-payrolls with both UK exposure. Core duties of the role cover;Part of a team with responsibility for processing of the PayrollManaging and ensuring the accurate and prompt receipt of dataEngaging with stakeholders to reconcile and review data inputsProcessing of payroll on a monthly basis with accurate recording of amendments and adjustmentsPrompt rectification of errors and discrepancies as highlightedReviewing and applying internal controls and following of company checklistsReview and processing of pensioner payrollEnsuring correct deductions applied to staff payroll as requiredResponding to internal payroll queries from the businessPosting of payroll journals to the general ledgerAd hoc duties and project involvement as requiredApplicants for this role will be able to draw from a wealth of payroll experience, and provide oversight to junior members in the team, supervising and acting as point of escalation for queries. Having exposure to international payroll would be advantageous, as well as working with bureau providers.In return the successful applicant will get the chance to work with a leading employer in Glasgow and potentially transition in to a permanent post.£220 PAYE p/d
