Payroll Manager



Location: Newark, Nottingham



Salary: Circa �40K dependent on experience plus benefits



T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Payroll Manager for an ambitious, high-growth business. As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 4 to ensure the payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and on-time. We are seeking someone who is passionate about continuous improvement and excellence.



Key responsibilities as Payroll Manager include:




  • Oversee the payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.

  • Manage the pension submissions and auto enrolment process requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant UK tax laws, pension regulations, and employment legislation.

  • Manage and resolve complex payroll issues and queries

  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Prepare and review payroll reports and documentation

  • Liaise with other departments to build and maintain excellent working relationships

  • Manage the relationship with payroll software provider, ensuring the payroll system is up to date with latest software releases and legislation

  • Provide guidance and support to the payroll team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.





Skills/experience required to be successful in the Payroll Manager role




  • Proven experience in managing a payroll team, preferably in a business employing 1000 plus employees across multiple entities.

  • Demonstrable experience of payrolls with hourly payments and associated time and attendance software

  • Experience of using Sage 50 Payroll would be advantageous

  • Professional payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP certification) is desirable

  • Experience of ongoing process improvement identification and implementation
