About the role:Hourly Rate: £17.12 per hour Location: BelfastHours of Work: 37 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm

Duties will include:To manage the day to day activities of the Payroll TeamTo ensure post holder and Payroll staff is up to date with current legislationTo ensure records are maintained in line with GDPRTo ensure that all payments and the payroll deductions are correctly authorised and processedTo ensure that Payroll Control accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis. To ensure that all Payroll returns and payments to HMRC, NILGOSC and other bodies are made in a timely fashion.To ensure that staff queries are addressed and resolved in a timely mannerTo ensure that all relevant procedures are documented and adhered to by all staffCriteria:(1) Possess a CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate or equivalent relevant (Level 3 or higher*) qualification and have at least three years’ experience working within in a Payroll environment.OrCan demonstrate a minimum of five years’ working within a Payroll environment.(2) Demonstrate experience of;Processing of payroll using integrated payroll software systems; Providing advice on payroll issues and compliance with HMRC regulationTeam Management(3) Can demonstrate, to be assessed at interview and test payroll skills through assessment: Excellent planning and organisational skillsAbility to work accurately under pressure of multiple deadlines Strong interpersonal and influencing skillsStrong team working ethos and teamExcellent attention to detailExperience of using MS applications including MS Excel, MS Word and MS OfficeRobust understanding of payroll legislative requirements IT/ Microsoft Office Proficiency -AdvancedAs part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure.
