Payroll Assistant / Finance Assistant
£25,000 - £27,000

SF Recruitment are working with a market leading Construction company based in Leicester who are seeking an experienced Payroll & Finance Assistant to join their business, reporting into the Payroll Manager. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the payroll manager to run all end-to-end payrolls.
- Responding to payroll queries from colleagues.
- Running payroll reports, plus ad-hoc reports when necessary.
- Updating the HR system with pay changes.
- Pension admin for our Nest Pension Schemes.
- Reconciling our accounts with our payroll figures.
- To work with and support the HR team where necessary.
- Matching, checking and coding invoices.
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Resolve older queries on Supplier accounts.
- Timely identification and resolution of queries involving liaison by phone or written communication with internal staff and external suppliers.
- Provide support as needed for the wider team.
The ideal candidate:
- 2 or more years' experience within a Payroll team.
- Have dealt with the high volumes of invoices and will be comfortable assisting with high value payment runs.
- Be able to prioritise their workload and work to strict deadlines.
- Be confident with the full purchase ledger process.
