ABOUT THE ROLE
The Patisserie Production Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the production of patisserie products and their packaging is carried out efficiently, safely and to the highest standard at all times

SALARY: £11.90 p/h (overtime paid at same rate)
HOURS: 45H -Monday-Friday working pattern (9-hour shifts falling between the working hours of 5:00 and 17:00). Weekend work as and when required (during peak periods, usually in the lead-up to Christmas and shared rotationally amongst the team)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to: Head Pastry Chef
FOOD
To execute and prepare all products as per company specifications
To handle and treat the food as if it were your own
To execute all food packaging in a timely and professional manner
To adhere to the organic standards as set out by the Soil Association
To contribute to the award-winning standard of all Daylesford Organic products
OPERATIONS
To ensure that all packaging items are well organised, in full supply and ready for each days production plan
To ensure that cleaning rotas are adhered to at all times
To ensure rubbish is separated into correct recycling bins and is removed from site throughout, as well as at the end of, shift
To complete all packaging tasks efficiently within the timeframe given

NUMBERS
Working safely and efficiently to ensure that all daily orders are completed above the required fulfilment rate
To minimise wastage levels as much as possible
To comply with the production units internal and external audit requirements
To aid the Production Unit Manager in the fulfilment of the production units annual financial/budgetary targets

PEOPLE
Participating in the effective communication amongst the team regarding any changes to recipes, packaging specifications, procedures and/or operational needs, and amongst the company and other customers regarding any quality issues/shortages in the required timescale
