THE ITALIAN JOB

The Italian Job is a street food vendor located in the popular Newport Market. Our menu consists of the Italian classics with a modern street food twist. The owner is opening a second site in the newly upcoming Swansea Albert Hall where chef/kitchen assistant jobs will also become available from June 2024.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent.
Pay: Between £11 - £14 per hour.
Expected hours: 40 48 per week.
Job Start: Immediately at Newport Market. From June 2024 at Swansea Albert Hall.
We are currently looking for a full time Chef, whom ideally has experience of cooking pasta dishes/pan work. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for keeping up with the daily paperwork involved in the kitchen, relaying orders to the owner and leading the kitchen.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, maintaining a clean kitchen, and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef to join a dynamic team and make their mark in the culinary world.
Our food stall service hours are as follows:-
Wednesday - Saturday 12pm - 8:45pm Sunday - 12pm - 4pm Bank Holidays - 12pm-4pm Start time is 9am to ensure that all food prep and cleaning jobs are completed before service. Assisting the team with general cleaning and tidying duties and washing up at the end of a shift are required. Working schedules may vary upon week.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes.
Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and to the highest standards.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Ensure that all food safety regulations are followed.
Monitor inventory of ingredients and supplies.
Monitor and relay stock requirements to the owner.
Train and supervise kitchen staff.
Create new recipes.
