As a leading fire and electrical compliance service provider to the public sector,our success relies upon a market-leading, engaged, and highly skilled team, for which we are always seeking skilled and self-motivated individuals to join.Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:The Manager, Passive Fire Protection at Sureserve Fire & Electrical is integral to steering the company in growthtrajectory within the Passive Fire Protection sector. This role is responsible for providing best in class compliance,commercial insight, contributing to the business's objectives, developing, and continuously improving processand business risk resilience whilst also leveraging opportunities for growth. To be the leading ‘Technical expert’on all things Passive Fire protection within the organization. You will be responsible for a portfolio of passive firecontracts for key clients within predominantly the social housing but also wider public sector. The employee willcollaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), offering informed recommendations and strategiesfor successful implementation. The employee will also contribute to maintaining high-quality business practicesand upholding Sureserve's commitment to excellence.General Duties/Key Responsibilities:• Leading the delivery of multiple projects and contracts from survey, pricing, mobilisation, delivery throughto handover and completion of all technical documentation. Achieving project excellence highperformance levels; on time fully compliant delivery on an improved financial close out to estimate basis.• Quality, implementing and delivery a robust audit program in accordance with our QMS. Also,management of our FIRAS Certification ensuring full compliance.• Collaborating with our Finance team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, valuations, sub-contractorand supplier payments, resolving any queries arising.• Continue to develop competencies and areas of expertise, whilst growing the service offering, relative tobuilding safety guidance and regulations.• Develop and manage our Passive Fire team and supply chain to maintain effective workingrelationships including recruitment & onboarding, Supplier reviews, Performance DevelopmentReviews and Coaching.• Colleague Upskilling and Knowledge Transfer: Take an active role in mentoring and upskilling bothexisting and new employees, including apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning anddevelopment within the electrical team.• Client-Centric Approach: Maintain the height of professionalism and diligence in all interactions,prioritizing client needs and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided.• Identify and build relationships with key partners, win and deliver profitable business gaining significantmarket share.• Adopt a leading role in Client bids meanwhile contributing to the continuous improvement of our winningbid strategy.• Develop a deep understanding of competitors and the industry, its products and services, opportunitiesand challenge – an impressive grasp of the competitive landscape.Qualifications and Skills:• Relevant qualifications, Firas Card Holder (Supervisor Level) preferably with further advanced ASFP orFIRAS Qualification. Already a member, or aspiration to become a member of an accredited body, suchas BM Trada, IFE, APM or PMP.• Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within the Passive Fire protection sector,demonstrating a strong history of strategic planning and implementation.• Demonstrable successful record of safety leadership, with relevant technical qualification i.e. SMSTS.• Strong design and product knowledge. Engage with suppliers and manufacturers regarding design andtechnical aspects, including standards compliance.• Successful experience of leading, managing and coaching operational Passive fire field teams• Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and emerging trends in the PFP sector.• Excellent communication, leadership, and people skills with the ability to collaborate effectively withcross-functional teams and stakeholders.• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of growth and developmentwithin an organization.• UK driving licenseWorking Environment:This is a hybrid position that involves collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) while alsoengaging with our Subcontractor and field-based teams.
