Party Chief

Due to continued business growth our marine client in Aberdeen is looking to add a permanent Party Chief to their team of staff. You can be based anywhere in the UK and will be working on a structured offshore rotation.
As a Party Chief you will work with structured rotations and will hold the ability to make objective decision timely and effectively, whilst under pressure, recognising where decisions should be escalated to a more senior authority.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Electronics, electrical, Survey or Computer based science degree or equivalent relevant offshore experience.
Offshore Survey industry experience as a Senior Surveyor and / or Party Chief.
Offshore Marine Construction experience.
Familiar with GNSS systems (Veripos), survey software (Eiva).
Knowledge and implications of environmental conditions and effects on survey systems and data.
Knowledge of installation and configuration of technical software.
Full understanding of calibration requirements and procedures of the survey systems and sensors.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
BOSIET, MIST GWO Certification, ENG1 / OGUK Medical(s).
Working knowledge of Oil & Gas and Renewable industries technical specifications and standards.
Full UK Driving License.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for planning and evaluating field Survey projects in accordance with client requirements and company procedures, whilst leading the field survey teams.
Preparing, processing, and coordinating the required field survey work, whist supporting the Survey & Positioning Manager as necessary.
Establish and maintain project priorities and adapt to changing priorities and working environments whilst having an interest in developing new and innovative ideas to challenge existing methodologies.
Plan, organise and direct the work of others.
Develop new and innovative ideas to challenge existing methodologies.
Promote and be accountable for quality customer service.
