The Role
A JOSEPH Stockroom Assistant is responsible for the flow of merchandise from a central point of delivery in our stockroom to the retail sales floor. As a Stockroom Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the stockroom and deliveries, ensuring the appropriate levels of merchandise is available on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
Ensure that products are accessible, constantly available, and properly distributed.
Contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, and managing the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organised manner.
Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy and verify that the quantity received matches the packing note and delivery paperwork.
Complete all paperwork associated with stock movements and deliveries.
Decrease store shrinkage by investigating inventory discrepancies and reporting suspicious activities to the store management team.
Work closely with the distribution team to support with stock movement and reduce stock discrepancies.
Support the store management team with the control of stock and processing deliveries, transfers, and stock returns.
Organize the stockroom, and ensure accurate labelling, logical placement, neat arrangement, and cleanliness.
Key Skills and Experience
Experienced in a stockroom position, ideally within a luxury retail environment.
Excellent communication skills across all communication platforms- email, instant messenger, and telephone.
Ability to learn product knowledge quickly and is always motivated to learn.
Works well as part of a team and have ability to be a self-starter.
Excellent organisation skill and attention to detail
