Part Time SEMH Teacher

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Part Time SEMH Teacher to work in an Alternative Provision based in Wirral. This is a Primary Alternative Provision that has been grown through passion. Since Covid, they have been working together with local partners as they recognised the need to support young people and Primary Schools in the area.

The role for a SEMH Teacher is a long term role till the end of the academic year for a part time SEMH Teacher to work Tuesdays and Thursdays ongoing. The role is to start immediately and will be working with Key Stage 2 & 3 English, Maths and Science. The Provision is a short stay provision for children who need extra help socially and academically to rehabilitate them back into mainstream schools.

The ideal candidate would have experience or a passion to work with SEMH children.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
• A compassionate and patient approach to teaching
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
