Part time Science Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic science teacher to join a small private girls' school in South Manchester from as soon as possible until the end of term.

This is a temporary supply teacher role.

The Role

Teacher of Science

Four days a week (no timetabled lessons on Thursdays)

Normal working hours 8.30am to 3.25pm

In March during Ramadan working hours are 9.45am to 3.25pm

Delivery of biology, chemistry, and physics with a focus on innovative practical lessons

Positive confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning.

Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to the changing needs of students

The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career teachers and experienced QTS teachers and FE qualified teachers with recent experience of teaching Science to students aged 11 to 16 .

The school follows as Islamic ethos but welcome teachers from all faiths and backgrounds.

To join us and be successful in this Science Teacher role, you will need to:

• Have recent experience (in the last 4 years) of teaching GCSE Science supported by references
• Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
• Provide a full CV of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work full time in the UK
