Part Time Payroll Administrator

Our client based in Peterborough is looking for a Part Time Payroll administrator on a permanent basis working 25 hours a week, ideally over 5 days (our client is flexible in terms of start and finish so 9am till 2pm or 9.30pm to 2.30pm etc. ). This role will involve the preparation of over 100 weekly paid staff in terms of collating payroll information before it is sent to an external provider for processing. As a result, you will deal with all subsequent queries.

Job Role: -

* You will be first point of contact in Payroll department for basic attendance and absence queries.

* You will run time data reports ready for evaluation to identify gaps.

* Query time data gaps with supervisors, managers, and employees.

* Correct time data where needed, add absence details to employee records on receipt of approved forms. Track and chase missing forms where needed.

* Ensure all absences reported are correctly approved in line with company policies & procedures as well as in line with statutory guidelines.

* File all documentation in employee and company files (all digital).

* Updating payroll records in line with any approved Change of Terms.

* Calculate SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments ready for payment.

* Run reports and prepare weekly wages for payroll processing by the payroll provider.

To be considered for this role you will ideally have some exposure to payroll, but you don’t need to9 be an expert as the information is processed by an external company. Someone with strong number skills and administrative duties will also be considered. The salary is up to £26,000 pro rata.
