Part-Time Financial ControllerWhitchurchPermanent3 days per week£40k - £60k pro rata per annum D.O.E. + great benefitsPrince Personnel are working with a growing business who are looking for a part-time Financial Controller on a permanent basis. You will form an integral part of the senior leadership team to develop, deliver and exceed business performance, strategy and direction. There is currently 1 direct report. The role is initially hands on as well as strategic. You must be able and willing to get hands dirty and support the finance team with day-to-day tasks as well as be a leader within the business.You will be responsible for: Manage all finance operations including, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Additional controller duties as necessary Develop financial strategies Oversee the operations of the finance department, including the design of an organizational structure and recruiting roles as required to prepare the business for future success Oversee the company's transaction processing systems Implement operational best practices Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced Oversee the company's issuance of financial information Report financial results to the board of directors Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team Direct Line Management responsibilities with the Finance and HR team (2 direct reports) and wider management responsibilities as a senior leader within the businessSkills and ExperienceThe successful candidate must be fully qualified with a proven track record in leading a finance function within a smaller business or a finance management role within a medium to large company.
