Part Time Financial Controller

Excellent opportunity for a seasoned part time manufacturing Financial Controller to contribute to the success of this bespoke division of established global manufactoring business based in Shropshire who’s focus is ‘made to order’ products for the building and construction industry. The part time Financial Controller will the work autonomously as well as part of a team. The part time Financial Controller will partner with the Operations Management Team to deliver financial reports and provide insightful information on the financial impact of operational performance to enable the business to make commercial decisions.

The part time Financial Controller will be ACMA, ACCA or ACA qualified with experience of standard costings, SAP and advanced excel skills. A strong manufacturing background as well as the ability to act as a business partner.

Core responsibilities include:

• Month-end closure in accordance with corporate deadlines


• Preparation of annual Budget and regular forecasts


• Assist with Capital Expenditure requests and calculate payback and benefits


• Become financial business partner for Operations Management Team


• SAP optimised for Operations Controlling (SAP key-user) and SAP used in reporting and controlling costs                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  


• Standard costing maintenance and ability to create costings for new products using a complex BOM.


• Internal control adherence and ability to apply good accounting controls with the business

 Key Requirements:

• Have relevant qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACMA, ACA)


• Have ERP system experience, SAP is desireable


• Be experienced in standard costing


• Have relevant experience in a manufacturing environment


• Have advanced Excel skills


• Have the ability to communicate and present well to both finance and non-finance individuals.


• Have strong interpersonal skills and become the business partner to Ripley management team.


• Pay close attention to detail, and use initiative to drive performance and improvements
