This growing and established SME business based in Farnham are looking for a Part Time Financial Controller to join their team. You will be joining an expanding organisation that has a great reputation in the market and has created this role within the business due to growth. Furthermore, you will be joining a personable business that has a great working culture and offers flexible working hours with working from home opportunities. They are looking for someone to work between 22 and 30 hours per week and this will be a brilliant role for an experienced individual who has prior experience of working within a similar role and is now looking for their next challenge.

Part time Financial Controller – About The Role



In this role you will be responsible for the management of the finance function and will be reporting into the Directors of the business. You will be working alongside one other member of staff within finance as well as liaising with their external accountants. You must have previous experience of using Xero and be able to commute to Farnham on a regular basis.



Your key responsibilities will be:




  • Full preparation and production of the monthly management accounts

  • Working with the Directors regarding financial forecasting and budget management

  • Preparation of year end statutory accounts for the external accountants

  • Looking to improve the internal systems as well as their month end process

  • Overseeing the transactional accounting functions

  • Overseeing one member of staff and supporting with their development

  • Supporting with the long-term growth of the business and ensuring the function is managed efficiently



The successful Part time Financial Controller will have:




  • Previous experience in a similar position

  • Experience of using Xero is essential

  • SME background

  • QBE or qualified candidates will be considered

  • Professional services background would be advantageous
