Part Time Finance Director (BioTech)

A VC backed BioTech with a focus on the circular economy. The business are seeking a Part-Time Finance Director, likely 3 or 4 days per week, to take them through a Series B funding round and grow the finance function around significant scale up.The organisation have been running for over 15 years and are at commercialisation stage, this role will involve working with Grant and investor funding as well as being hands on building the team.The Role - (4 days per week)Full responsibility for the accounting function, including managing 1 and building the accounting teamAttending board meetings and reporting to Chief Exec/MDFinancial analysis with particular focus on cash flowR&D creditsGrant and investor fundingOwnership of corporate finance - particularly in regard to advancing to series B funding.Building relationships with senior stakeholders, presenting financial information to the boardOngoing process improvement and implementationBuilding banking relationships and growing business operationsThe CandidateA qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMASenior level experienceExposure to building banking relationships and broad investment strategiesExperience with raising finance - exposure to Grant funding will be highly desirableDesire to work in growing business within the BioTech sectorHappy to work in tech type cultureThe opportunity will ideally be for 4 days per week, reporting to the Chief Exec/MD.
