Job opportunity: Environmental Health Officer - Food and SafetyPart-time Environmental Health Officer - Food and SafetyECR000122Hours14.8 hours per weekContractPermanentLocationCastle House, Newcastle-under LymeAbout the jobWe are looking for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join our busy Food and Safety Team.As well as the activities routinely undertaken by an Environmental Health Officer, you will act as lead EHO for a range of initiatives and enforcement activities including but not limited to:Supporting the work of the team.Your role will involve an element of out of hours working and youwill also be expected to take part in the Regulatory services Out of Hours Emergency Standby rota.RequirementsExperience in Environmental Health professional dutiesDetailed current knowledge of Environmental Health services and legislation.Registered with the Environmental Health Registration BoardKnowledge of Environmental Health statutory and legal responsibilities.Working knowledge of Microsoft applications sufficient to input and retrieve data using packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook for emailWhy work for us?Newcastle-under-Lyme is a borough with big ambitions.
