Part Time Assistant Accountant

Our client is a thriving business based on the outskirts of Ipswich and they are looking to recruit a part time Assistant Accountant to work alongside the Financial Controller. This is a part time role based in their offices, which are easily accessible from the A14, and is around 18-24 hours per week.� These hours can be worked across three days or four/five shorter days, to fit in with other commitments.
Candidates will be at least AAT level 4 qualified and have proven experience of working in a similar position. Duties will include:

• To calculate and post all monthly journals including accruals, prepayments, provisions, intercompany, Payroll, depreciation Balance sheet releases.
• Maintenance and control of the General Ledger to ensure all nominal accounts are up to date
• Complete Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation and review of the Monthly Management Accounts pack, monthly forecasts and annual budgets, investigating variances and providing commentary.
• Responsibility for monthly Payroll submission to Bureau service.
• Complete and submit quarterly VAT return for the group.
• Assist with the annual P11d and PSA Calculations
