Part Qualified Accountant

NXTGEN is in search of a motivated Part Qualified Accountant to join a prominent Accountancy firm located in their Bury St Edmunds Office. This firm has developed a fantastic reputation in East Anglia among clients and peers, this has come from the service they provide, their low staff turnover and new business wins, to name a few reasons! As a Part Qualified Accountant, you'll join a vibrant and seriously experienced Accounts team, working in various sectors in the local area and engaging in complex tasks and projects.

This firm promotes internal promotion and developing their people and putting trust in their trainees, in order to help give them the experience to develop at their own pace and quicker. You'll support the management of a portfolio of clients, who you'll deliver exceptional general practice services, too, providing technical support for month-end submissions and aiding business owners with any account-related inquiries or challenges. In addition to your primary duties, this role involves guiding more junior staff to foster their professional development and educational pursuits.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of year-end statutory returns
• Assisting the Corporate Tax team with SME client tax computations
• Providing insights on monthly business performance to clients
• Addressing tax inquiries from business owners
• Supporting trainees with easier accounting tasks

Ideally, candidates will be working towards their ACA/ACCA qualification, along with previous experience in an accountancy firm. However, individuals with relevant experience and a history in general practice are also encouraged to apply.
