Objective of role
You will be required to lead and work with other Council officers as part of the project implementation team and external stakeholders to manage a two phased parking implementation project. Phase 1 is the process of upgrading the current parking back office systems (Taranto in Wandsworth and Imperial in Richmond). This will include the introduction of permit-smarti to replace permits gateway and assisting with the data migration process. Following the successful completion of the Phase 1 upgrades, you will work with the project team on Phase 2 of the project, to procure and implement a new single supplied IT solution for the parking service across both Boroughs.
This project will require you to manage the day to day work of the project to ensure it is delivered on time.
About the role
To work with other Council Officers including the Head of Parking Operations who you will be reporting to, the Head of Parking Compliance, colleagues in the Councils IT team and other senior Council officers to deliver a two phased IT parking systems implementation project.
You will lead of many aspects of this project to ensure that a successful implementation of the projects are achieved whilst reporting back to the project team.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Knowledge- You will have a good knowledge of how parking systems work is essential and have working knowledge of Taranto and imperial systems or other parking software solutions.
IT Skills - You will have proficient knowledge of Microsoft packages such as excel Good all round IT skills.
Project management- You will need to have the skills to effectively project manage the implementation of new initiatives to improve the experiences of staff working at Richmond and Wandsworth.
Organisation Skills: You will have the ability to work independently, prioritise task to work on your as well as being part of a team
Be flexible and task focused.
Communication Skills: you will be dealing with members of the public on a day-to-day basis via face to face communication, emails and telephone it is essential for you to have the ability to communicate clearly and proficiently.
Reporting -You will have Experience of reporting back to a project board on project progress.
