Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum

Job Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic legal assistants to join our departments in:
Housing Disrepair
Car Loans/PCP
Data Breach
Pensions
This role will involve taking new instructions on cases and handling that case through the pre-litigation process until it is ready for an offer to be made.
Previous experience is not required as full training will be provided.
Duties will include, but are not limited to;
-Conducting calls with prospective clients in a thorough and attentive manner.
-Attention to detail is required, as documents drafted will be relied upon in court should the matter proceed that far.
-Working on the dialler to manage new calls from sources and take instructions.
-Drafting letters of claim, reviewing expert reports and quantum.
-Taking instructions from the client on reports.
-Conducting calls with various third parties and/or defendant organisations and solicitors.
-Preparing instructions to experts and barristers.
-Reviewing and analysing various records including those from surveyors and local councils.
-Preparing, proofreading, and editing legal documents.
-Responding to incoming telephone calls and email correspondence in line with the firm’s time scales
-Researching and compiling information that helps build a case.
-Communicating with the Solicitors/Fee Earners, clients and third parties to keep everyone up to date and obtain any information required.
-Gathering evidence to support the client’s case.
-Conducting legal research and interpreting the law and court rulings.
-Using Proclaim to record information, call notes, correspondence, and memos on the relevant file.
-Performing legal administration as requested.
