Our integrated real estate team manages a wide range of transactions in all commercial property asset classes. We have planning, construction and property litigation specialists within our team and draw on local and international colleagues’ tax, finance, funds and corporate transactional expertise to deliver a full service in all areas of the market.Over a third of our diverse, 70-strong international practice are partners, which allows us to assemble teams that are tailored to each client’s needs and are truly partner led. We take pride in our legal and project management skills but also in our ability to understand the commercial issues faced by our clients.Our clients include institutional funds, private equity houses, financial institutions and individual investors. The breadth of our work has enabled us to develop an impressive understanding of the real estate sector and a network of contacts that continues to prove valuable to many of our clients.Main duties and responsibilities:Providing general administrative support to fee-earners including drafting, reviewing and proof-reading legal documentsProviding support in relation to Land Registry applications and property searches and analysing, collating and summarising the relevant documents and informationResearching points of law and other factual issues and preparing reports on the sameCollating, organising, uploading and managing documents in DealRoom and any other online dataroom serviceLaw graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent.Previous paralegal experience or other relevant legal work experiencePreferably Real Estate experience and understanding of real estate tasksExperience using legal research databases (preferred)Knowledge and technical skills:Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and ExcelGeneral Skills/Attributes:Highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systemsAttention to detail and the confidence to work independentlyWillingness to travel to London as requiredHighly motivated and commercially astuteExcellent communication skills and a collegiate, team-based attitudeThe ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracySelf-motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressureHere at Simmons & Simmons:Simmons & Simmons is a place where dynamic minds thrive.
