We have a great development opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Charity and Social Enterprise team to work closely supporting our busy fee earners.The TeamWe advise the firm's charity and other clients on charity law and governance matters. We are the only firm in the Northwest ranked by the Legal 500 in the top tier for charity law advice in the Northwest.We act for a wide range of charity clients across the UK, including charities with significant operations overseas.We act for around200 clients of which the biggest ten have a combined income exceeding £500m. Our clients includewell known health and social care organisations, educational institutions, sport-based charities, and significant religious charities.We are primarily a Liverpool-based team although fee earners spend time in the Manchester Lancashire and Leeds offices. Weadvise charities across the Northwest although many of our clients are based all over the country.What we are looking forThe ideal candidate will have a real passion for developing their knowledge in Charity work, and is hard working, and displays a desire to be an integral part of the growth of the team. You will ideally be degree educated or have some experience in a Paralegal role, however we are eager to develop individuals to grow within the team, and so this is not essential.You will be a confident, proactive, and structured individual who will assist and support with a broad range of matters to include, but not limited to, the following:Assisting in the preparation of applications to register new charities.Working with team members to draft charitable purposes and governing documents.Making applications to the Charity Commission for regulatory consents, schemes, and orders.Companies House and Charity Commission administrative matters.The development of precedents.Advising team members on legal developments and assisting in the production of client, marketing, and promotional materials.Liaising and corresponding with clients and carrying out administrative duties where appropriate to assist fee earners in carrying out their duties e.g. filing necessary paperwork.If you are passionate about your work, Brabners will give you the environment to achieve your potential.
