Panel Beater

Position Title: Panel Beater/Welder

Location: Coventry

We are currently seeking a skilled Panel Beater to join our clients team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including panel beating using dolly and hammer techniques, reshaping car panels, replacing doors, removing spot welds, and rewelding panels. Additionally, you will apply body filler and perform skimming as needed.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary ranges from �15.00 to �23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.


• Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 6 pm, with flexibility to work any hours during this time as long as it is totaling 42.5 hours per week.


• A bonus scheme is in place, offering a group bonus of �250 per month for exceeding targets, with uncapped potential.


• Overtime rates are at 1.5x the regular hourly wage.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in MIG welding, particularly with aluminum panels.


• Previous experience working in a body shop environment is essential.


• Familiarity with Tesla-approved body shop standards is preferred, although experience with Mercedes-Benz or any other body shop will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilise dolly and hammer techniques to reshape car panels.


• Replace doors and handle spot weld removal and rewelding of panels.


• Apply body filler and perform skimming to achieve desired finishes.


• Conduct MIG welding on aluminum panels with precision and accuracy.
