In fact, we are one of the top hire firms in the country.Thanks to our excellent fleet renewal schemes we rarely carry machinery over 3 years old and are often selected as the first in the UK to receive new product ranges.We invest in our people too, through regular training schemes and company progression.This vacancy has come about due to expanding the team based at our Warrington depot.We are seeking to employ a Paint Shop Assistant to assist the Paint Shop Manager in the day-to-day tasks associated with preparation and painting of our hire machinery.The look of our machinery central to our brand and therefore having pride in your work and a can-do attitude is very important to success in this role.ResponsibilitiesOperate plant, access, and agricultural machinery for movement in and out of the paint shop.Prepare parts and machinery for painting, including degreasing and masking.Application of paints onto machinery.Loading and unloading of the paint booths.Carry out shot blasting.Assist in spray gun stripping, cleaning, and maintenance.Packing and labelling of finished work.Maintaining expiration dates of consumables.Wear correct PPE as directed by the Paint Shop Manager.Follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings relating to paint and repair.Ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.Maintain all tools and equipment in a clean and usable condition reporting any defects or damage to the Paint Shop Manager.Work in accordance with the current quality procedures and advise any errors or variances to the paint shop team leader.Assist in the maintenance of clean, tidy, and safe working areas.To maintain an awareness and observation of Fire, Security, and Health and Safety Regulations.To carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job.To work in other departments and locations as and when required.To be prepared to work outside normal working hours, including weekends sometimes at short.RequirementsBe reliable and punctual.Have a basic understanding of the operation of plant, access, and agricultural machinery.Have a flexible attitude.Can work as a team player in a fast-paced working environment.Have a full UK driving licence – desirable but not essential.Hours of WorkHours of work – 07:30 to 17:30 – with occasional weekend work.
