We are recruiting for a Paint Application Specialist to join the team at Stannah. This is a newly created opportunity within our manufacturing facility, supporting a new paint plant.

As a Paint Application Specialist, you are responsible for developing paint plant inputs and processes.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of painted surfaces. This is to ensure they meet industry standards and client expectations.

We are looking for a Paint Application Specialist who has excellent technical expertise and attention to detail. You must be an effective communicator with the ability to work with people at all levels.

The Paint Application Specialist role is based in Newcastle at our production facility in Newburn. You will be required to travel to support sites in Andover, Hampshire, and in the Czech Republic where required. This is a great opportunity to work across a multi-site, global environment.

To be successful as a Paint Application Specialist we are looking for an individual who strives for excellence and is data driven. You must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and formulate paint recipes based on product specifications and requirements.
  • Choose appropriate paint and coating materials based on project requirements, surface types, and environmental conditions.
  • Define application parameters, including temperature and humidity, to ensure optimal paint adhesion and curing.
  • Identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies in the paint application process.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement continuous improvement measures.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that the manufactured paints meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify the quality of raw materials and finished products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems in the production process to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Help coordinate regular maintenance on painting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Paint Specialist or similar role.
  • Certification in paint application or a related field is desirable.
