About the Role
Footballco is looking for an experienced paid social expert to join our social team. The position will focus on online ad trafficking and strategy for Footballco’s branded content. This includes static and video content to be optimized across multiple platforms (primarily Meta, YouTube and TikTok). This will require daily interaction with our internal teams such as Client Services, Sales, Ad Operations, Social, and our external clients and platform partners to ensure consistent and smooth delivery of all advertising campaigns. As a member of the social team, you will be surrounded by social experts who publish content across our family of brands to our audiences of millions. You will have the opportunity to develop general social and publishing strategy as we build the world’s biggest and best football publishing business.
You will be based in London and will report to our Ad Strategy Director.
What you will be doing:
Managing all aspects of paid social implementation including campaign creation, tracking, optimisation and reporting for Footballco branded content partners and key Footballco accounts across social (Meta(Facebook and Instagram)/ Youtube/ X(Twitter)/TikTok)
Ensuring best practice and optimisations are implemented correctly to achieve desired performance and, in most cases, strict targets.
Build and implement third party support to scale and manage our paid social operations globally. You will be responsible for sourcing and contracting partners and ensuring quality of service remains high.
Demonstrate platform expertise and develop content distribution strategies for internal teams and external clients. You will be the resident expert on all things social for our commercial and creative teams. Your expertise will power our commercial business.
Manage relationships with social vendors to maximize the performance of existing buys and stay current with new products/ features
Continually test and evaluate new strategies, tactics, and partnerships to evolve and improve our product offering
Strong budget management capabilities, ensuring social channels remain within budget and hit performance KPIs
Partner with sales representatives and clients to increase renewal rates and advertising spend on Goal.com and other Footballco brands.
Be curious, flexible, and willing to get involved in general social business
What You Have:
A minimum of 2 years of media buying with specific paid social experience
Expert analytics skills and a strong attention to detail. A love of data and desire to interrogate data to find insights then deliver those insights to relevant teams and stakeholders
Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at once
Expert knowledge of digital media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat), advertising data, and social/digital trends and existing relationships with the major social platforms
Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills - with a focus on being able to build & updated documents to rapidly analyse reporting data
Experience and comfort in communicating with different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly
Possess strong interpersonal skills, particularly influencing and listening skills
Experience preparing, analysing and presenting campaign insights to partners
Strong business knowledge and ability to use creative thinking to resolve problems and/or roadblocks as they occur, and know when to escalate
