JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting for a PACO Instrument & Control Engineer to provide Engineering and Maintenance support within the Operations business unit in AberdeenThe PACO Instrument Engineer will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing technical expertise supporting of all activities related to PACO / Instrumentation. With a focus on asset integrity and reliability, in line with PACO long term strategies and the Asset strategies / Roadmaps, proviing support to the team lead in managing all central maintenance contracts.RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Accountable for PCD trainingand competencefortheengineering and site maintenance teamsEnsure that identified PCD-IT gaps are identified, managed and resolved through inclusion in therelevantprocesses(MTO/eMoC/FSR)Co-ordinate engineering support to the site instrument teams during instrument field equipment or control/safety system failures and during maintenance turnaround activitiesReview and implement spare part, repair and obsolescence strategies forthesitesinstruments, PCDand control/safety systems equipmentManage the reliability of PACO equipment acting on identified bad actors and threats to safety reliabilityEnsure that appropriate Maintenance Strategies are in placeMRP/Planning & DeliverResponsible to ensure scopes are identified in the IAP and executed on plan where appropriateSupport the creation of the annual budget for discipline activities in line with the facility business planAsset support consists of providing expert advice, as required on all matters relating to PACO / Instrument maintenance, operability and performance of all PACO related equipment, including Field Instrumentation, DCS systems, Safeguarding System and and Fire and GasAccountabilities include the review of monthly key performance indicators (KPI) for each asset and attendance at monthly Asset Integrity meetingsQUALIFICATIONSTechnical skills:CEng / IEng - or significant experience required for this roleEither be a Chartered Engineer or working towards ChartershipExpected to be TA3 as a minimum and working towards TA2Person Skills:Strong and visible Safety Leadership behaviorsDemonstrated track record of collaborative behaviors and strong influencing skills in delivering safe business outcomesAbility to work within a multi-disciplinary teamCourage to stand up for personal convictions and deliver enterprise first outcomesBe proactive in your own talent management and capability developmentABOUT USWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
