Marcilly Recruitment are working on a lovely PA & House Manager role for an UHNW family who come highly recommended. They are seeking a full-time PA & House Manager to work across their three London residences and provide them with comprehensive support whilst they are here in the UK. Roughly 6-8 months of the year.
This will be based from the principals’ residences at least four days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely when they are not in town. You can structure your schedule around maintenance etc at your discretion when they are not in town - no need to be on site all day, but they would like daily visits to ensure nothing is wrong.
PA & House Manager Responsibilities
Ensuring the smooth running of the three apartments, making sure everything is always impeccably presented and in good working order
Facilities and maintenance management, liaising with the buildings' maintenance and concierge teams to resolve any issues as soon as they arise
Managing household budgets, utility bills, insurances etc.
Personal diary management for the whole family when they are in London. This includes two parents, a grown-up son (who has his own family with one child) and a grown up daughter
Keeping on top of medical records, private medical insurance and appointments
Travel management and visas as and when required.
Hiring and training household staff on a freelance basis or providing support ahead of the principals’ arrival. Making sure everything is perfect and all supplies are in the house ahead of their arrival. Organising any deep cleans of the property when they are not in residence
Managing the children’s schedules, activities and assisting the travelling nanny on an ad hoc basis if needed on a day off
Personal shopping and keeping stock of supplies in the household
Wardrobe management
Finance: expenses, invoices, reconciliations, household budget management etc
Organising events and managing RSVPs
Household projects
Running errands
Gifting
Booking excursions and restaurants
Luxury lifestyle management
PA & House Manager Requirements
A minimum of five years' working as a PA or House Manager supporting a private family
The successful PA & House Manager must have experience of working in a private household at this level or in high-end hospitality
Comfortable around young children and happy mucking in when required
A personable and engaging candidate with strong interpersonal skills
A down to earth, proactive self-starter who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in – no matter how big or small the task
Flexibility is key because there will be down times when the principals are not in residence, but they will also require additional support out of core hours during busier periods and when they are in residence. It is someone who is adaptable to the needs of the principal and the various tasks and responsibilities working in such close proximity to the family
A good knowledge of the London hospitality scene and the ability to recommend restaurants and activities
Loyalty and discretion
Someone who has demonstrated longevity in their roles
The family are seeking a PA & House Manager who they can truly trust and rely on. You will be based from their home a lot when they are not here, so you will look after everything for them in the UK as they don’t have a family office here. They do have other assistants internationally who deal with anything from a work perspective and manage their lifestyles and everything else abroad.
