Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic accountancy practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of payroll systems, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:

Accurately process payroll for multiple clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis.
Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and on time.
Verify timesheets, work hours, and pay adjustments.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and other required reports.
Client Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from clients.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving payroll discrepancies promptly.
Conduct payroll audits and provide reports as required by clients.
System Maintenance:

Utilize and maintain payroll systems/software efficiently.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and procedures.
Continuously seek to improve payroll processes and systems.
Collaboration:

Work closely with the accounting and HR departments to ensure the seamless integration of payroll with other financial systems.
Collaborate with team members to support overall firm operations and client service delivery.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within an accountancy practice or similar environment.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
