Job Title: SEN Outdoor Vocational Instructor

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about outdoor education and possess a strong background in vocational training.
Responsibilities:
- Outdoor Skills Instruction: Lead and instruct participants in a variety of outdoor vocational activities, such as wilderness survival, navigation, camping, and outdoor cooking.
- Safety Management: Prioritize and ensure the safety of participants during all outdoor activities. Implement and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and enhance outdoor vocational training programs, creating engaging and educational content that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and care of outdoor equipment, ensuring that all gear is in proper working condition and meets safety standards.
- Team Building: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment through team-building activities and group exercises. Encourage collaboration and communication among participants.
- Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate participant progress and provide constructive feedback to support their skill development. Conduct assessments to measure the effectiveness of the vocational training programs.
- Environmental Stewardship: Promote environmental awareness and responsible outdoor practices. Instil a sense of appreciation for nature and sustainable outdoor living.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Outdoor Vocational Instructor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of outdoor vocational skills, including but not limited to wilderness survival, navigation, and camping.
- Relevant certifications in outdoor education and safety (e.g., Wilderness First Aid, Leave No Trace).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to diverse participant needs and learning styles.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
