About Us:

Leader Education are working with a small, dynamic education setting based in Wakefield, dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with a predominant focus on SEMH. Their unique approach blends traditional education with outdoor and vocational activities, creating an engaging and inclusive learning space.

Position Available: Male Outdoor Instructor

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the teaching and learning of the alternate provision for at least 2 days a week.

- Lead and participate in vocational activities such as Duke of Edinburgh and allotment gardening with the children.

- Utilise your outdoor skills and experience to enhance the learning experience.

Requirements:

- Essential background in SEMH and challenging behaviour.

- No school experience required, but a passion for outdoor education and supporting children with SEND is crucial.

- Specific need for a male candidate due to the staff setup and the unique needs of the children.

- Own car is essential, and business insurance will be provided by the school.

- A background in woodworking/carpentry would be an added benefit
