This position is with one of our clients in United kingdom who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams.Role: Oracle DBA/ ArchitectEmployment Type: Full Time PermanentLocation- London, UK (Hybrid)Responsibilities:Candidate must be located within commuting distance of London or Sheffield or willing to relocate to the area.10+ Years of experience in Oracle versions19c, 12c, 11g, 10g and 9g database administration.Experience in upgrading databases to 19c.Experience in database consolidation.Experience in different database migration techniques.Must have extensive hands on and troubleshooting experience in Data guard, Real Application Cluster (RAC), Multitenant, Partitioning, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).Implement Transparent Database Encryption for migrated databases.Perform Security and Compliance Testing, Database Hardening, Corporate Audit assist. Compliance to contractual, regulatory, and legal requirements.Discussion with Lead Architects and finalize the design approach.Experience in Exadata cloud service design.Single point of contact for any DB issues arising during migration.Co-ordinate with the PM on strategies to improve cut-over time.Manage application readiness and interaction with app-owners.Should have experience in automation tools, shell scripting, Perl scripting, CI/ CD tools.Excellent trouble shooting skills in RMAN.Requires excellent knowledge in database performance tuning and database query tuning.Experience in Designing DR Setup & conduct Mock DR Drill including Integration testing.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Oracle database administration.Experience in Oracle Exadata.Strong in communication skills and ability to execute projects independently.Good documentation and presentation skills with ability to run client workshops independently.Note: Applicants for employment in United Kingdom should possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
