Oracle Database Administrator

Oracle Database Administrator required to work with a government department. This is an initial 12 -month contract, paying £650 a day, inside IR35, Hybrid working 1-2 days in the office (National based locations).This role is SC Cleared: Candidates who hold an active SC Clearance are encouraged to apply.Main Responsibilities:We need talent to join our Application Operations team, alongside other DBAs, and Oracle professionals, to help us manage this estate, proactively keep it operational, and modernise our services (including migration, building new environments, patching, and upgrading).Essential Skills:Experience with managing Oracle Database 11g, 12c and 19c on LinuxExperience of managing Oracle Weblogic and Oracle HTTP ServerExperience working with large databasesExperience of Oracle Automatic Storage ManagementExperience of working with Microsoft Azure and AWSExperience with working with Backup and Recovery (RMAN, Datapump, Flashback database)Experience of managing High Availability DatabasesExperience of managing Oracle Data GuardExperience of performance tuning large databasesExperience of installations, upgrades and patchingExperience of providing 3rd line Oracle DBA supportExperience in DevOps techniques and technologiesExperience in Database programming languages such as PL/SQL, SQLExperience of configuration / automation / continuous integration tools (Ansible/GithubPlease apply should you meet the above criteria.Kindly note, that due to a high volume of applications - only successful candidates will be contacted.
