Optical Practice Manager – Bournemouth

My client is a chain of opticians, who have been established for 75 years with over 150 practices across the UK. They are now looking for an Optical Practice Manager to look after one of their busy practices in the Dorset area.
You will be working with a small team of 5 and you will expected to manage the team, working towards targets and offering any support to fellow colleagues while also still being heavily involved with the dispensing and day to day running of the practice.
Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager
You will work within a busy practice in an all-around role. You will be helping patients with all their eye and hearing care needs, including contact lenses, designer frames, NHS eye care and hearing health checks. You will be dispensing spectacles and making sales as well as undertaking pre-screening, contact lens teaches and associated admin work.
You will be working in a small team and be able to support and motivate the team working towards targets and KPI’s.
Requirements for the Optical Practice Manager
What is most important for this role is the level of management experience; the right person will have ideally had previous retail management experience before coming to the world of optics and will be comfortable with managing a team, increasing KPI’s and driving a business
You will need a minimum of 2 years experience within optics.
It is essential you can dispense spectacles to all levels as will be a very hands-on role.
Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager
On offer for the right person is a competitive salary of up to £26,000
A Managerial Bonus Scheme is also included (Approx £4k per annum)
As well as this you will also have the opportunity to further your career.
Working hours are 5 days per week 8:30am to 5pm to include Saturdays
You will have 28 days holiday.
