An optical branch in Godalming is seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join their dynamic team!

Position: Optical Assistant
Location: Godalming
Salary: �23,800 - �26,500 + Bonus (�1500 - �3000 per annum) depending on experience�
Working hours: 40 hours per week (5 days to include 1 weekend day)�
Opening hours:�
Monday - Saturday 08:50 - 17:30�
Sunday: 08:50 - 17:00�
***Please note that part time and flexible hours are available***�
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting customers with frame selection, lens options, and eye care products.
- Conducting pre-screening tests and providing support during eye examinations.
- Advising customers on lens coatings, contact lenses, and aftercare solutions.
- Processing orders, managing appointments, and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Supporting the store team with administrative tasks and ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and building rapport with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the optical industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for eye care and a desire to make a positive impact on customers' lives.
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings as per the store's requirements.
- A commitment to ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge and skills within the role.
