Operations Support Executive - night shiftLocation: 38 Minerva Road, London, United KingdomEarnings: £30,000 per annumWe are currently looking for an organised and enthusiastic Operations Support Executive to join our friendly office team in North Acton to help support our drivers and the smooth running of the night shift.DescriptionFirst Mile is London’s leading recycling service, helping over 30,000 locations in London. We need an amazing and efficient person to join the team to help coordinate our drivers and fleet to ensure the operations side of our business runs smoothly.This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join our thriving Operations team. You do not need to have lots of Operations experience but you will need to be organised and great with administration skills.The JobThe Operations Support Executive will facilitate the daily function of all aspects of Operations at the First Mile depot on Minerva Road in North Acton. They will assist the Transport and Service Supervisors in ensuring the smooth running of our fleet and drivers by handling the administrative side of the department.We are recruiting for a PM shift. These roles workon a 4 days-on and 2 days-off rota which will include the below working hours- you will need to be available to work the below specified hours;18.00 - 04.00 (2 days)20.00 - 06.00 (2 days)Skills and KnowledgeOutstanding communication skills – able to inform, help and advise.Organisational skills – able to juggle multiple duties and pro-actively manage the fleet and dispatchAble to adapt effectively to changing prioritiesExcellent understanding of the Microsoft Office package including Outlook, Work and ExcelAbility to stay calm under pressureDuties and ResponsibilitiesDirectly reporting to Ops Supervisors on dutySupporting dispatch and admin tasksResponsible for relating any issues from drivers regarding trucks/driversSending daily updates to OPS team with events of the shiftInsuring follow-up between shifts amongst all Support Executives and Ops SupervisorsHoliday coverage for specialist supervisorsAdministrationAllocating new customers to existing roundsAllocating extras and missed collections throughout the day or nightCommunicating with drivers to solve issues on the rounds (Recoveries / Customer related issues)Keeping an accurate log of all issues reported by drivers on the rounds to be communicated to the customer service departmentEscalating complaints to OPS Service specialist or relevant Account ManagersData entry – Keeping an accurate log of drivers and vehicles sent out – at start and end of their shiftsSupport Transport Specialist with dispatching drivers efficiently (dispatching drivers with the correct vehicle - checking on service issues if required by a specialist)Dispatching drivers alone on weekendsSupporting Service Specialists and Ops Liaisons on investigations into customer issuesEnhanced maternity/paternity schemeRegular company parties and eventsEmployee recognition at our monthly town hall eventCompany pension25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) as well as an extra day for each complete year ofservice.A £60 a month allowance to spend on you.
