Operations Support Engineer - Linux/CloudGlobal technology company is expanding its EMEA customer operations support team and is looking to hire a further 2 Linux Operations / SRE Engineers for their Bristol office.Excellent salary + bonus + stock on offer!Key skills/experience required:A degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related subjects3+ years of experience administering Linux systemsStrong hands-on experience of variants of LinuxExperience of working with GCP or AWSFamiliarity with deployment tools such as Ansible Tower and JenkinsExperience of working with an automation platformExperience in carrying out large deployments to global infrastructureProficient with
orchestration/configuration
tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Puppet.Strong working knowledge of networking, packet tracing, understanding latency and throughput in order to pinpoint or resolve application issues.Thorough knowledge of HTTP(S), SMTP, TLS/SSL, DNS and LDAP, Kubernetes and Docker containersSystem/application administration in a distributed, customer-facing, high-availability and large-scale environmentsExperienced and confident in at least one scripting language such as Perl, shell, Ruby or Python.Experience with monitoring systemsExcellent communication skills are essential.These roles are 100% office based in Bristol.
