Due to ongoing growth and development of our operations in the North of Scotland, we are seeking to appoint an Operations / Logistics Planner to take full ownership of the daily Operations in our Forres Depot.
This is a rare opportunity to join a successful, growing and progressive business where you will be offered every support needed but will also have the freedom to run your own operation under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
This will be a rewarding and demanding role and you will be responsible for;
Direct management of the Traffic Management Operatives
Planning Operative workload and maintaining the daily sheet
Recruiting, developing and maintaining an effective team of Operatives
Assisting senior management in formulation and execution of short and long term strategies
Undertaking staff reviews and one to one assessments
Ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to
Managing the day to day health and safety requirements of the depot
The role will be extremely varied which adds to the appeal so the above list is not exhaustive. Due to the demands and rewards pertaining to this role, we are setting high expectations as to the quality of applicants.
In order to be considered for interview, you require the majority of, if not all of, the below;
Excellent knowledge of the Traffic Management Industry (desired but not essential)
If no Traffic Management experience, you should have a proven ability in Logistics Planning
Verygood leadership and communication skills
Experience using Microsoft excel
Ability to make commercial decisions in thebest interests of the company
Good negotiating skills and ability to resolve contractual / payment disputes, or elevation to senior management
Ability to ensure company operations are working at capacity
