Operations Manager

Position : Operations Manager
Salary : £40k - £45k
Contract : Permanent
Location : Mitcheldean
Gap personnel are currently recruiting for the role of Operations Manager, for the growing company delivering wholesale of grain, unmanufactured tobacco, seeds and animal feeds.
Successful candidate will have a great proven experience and possess all contactable references needed for the role.
The role is available immediately, but due to nature of position held of ideal candidate, the Client is prepared to wait required notice.
Main duties and responsibilities of Operations manager:
* Overseeing the warehouse and production area (split hay bales, put into bailing machine, weigh, box and dispatch / store accordingly)
* Overseeing all MHE area ( FLT drivers
* Good knowledge of H&S and equipment maintenance ( to be able to accordingly book the maintenance and engineering staff, not to repair by themselves )
* Material order
* Stock control
* Manage stock and storage level
* Making sure daily SLA is met and completed without failure
* Implementing management processes and procedures
* Manage staff
Working hours:
* Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm ( can be flexible too )
Salary:
* Depending on experience, salary will vary from £40k - £45k.
Successful candidate must be aware that this is not just office based role, but a hands on role, and ideal candidate must give the impression they are looking for continuous improvement at all the times within their job role and duties.
Potential candidate must be also aware that there may be 2 stage interview for the role.
