Job DescriptionWillmott Dixon is currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager for our construction South team to focus on managing projects in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire The successful candidate will have proven ability to lead more than one project team, and ideally have experience in project delivery in multiple sectors eg Education, Leisure, Health and Residential.The main role of an Operations Manager at Willmott Dixon is to lead on developing and implementing project strategy and delivery programme, ensuring effective communication and implementation to deliver the project on time, challenge and interrogate reporting on progress, and instigate corrective actions as required.It is equally important in this role to manage the overall operational and commercial aspects of the project to achieve the budget, review performance against targets and identify and manage potential risks and opportunities; all whilst leading the project team and supply chain relationships and ensure its balance and shape to deliver the project.In addition you will need to develop and monitor strategies (including sustainability) to deliver a quality build in accordance with the requirements of the project.In return we provide to you a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, the opportunities for you to develop your career with Willmott Dixon and the training to make this happen - but most importantly a great place to work with a true family ethos!Essential and Desirable CriteriaEssential CriteriaA track record of successful delivery of projects (circa £5m to £60m).A track record of resolving technical, operational and contractual issues and / or disputes.A variety of construction operations.Controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets.Reading and accurately interpreting contract documents, programmes, drawings and technical specifications.Managing teams including the supply chain, direct employees and consultants.Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC / NVQ4 etc).Appropriate CSCS card.First Aid at Work certificate.Valid driving licence.SMSTS certificateDesirable CriteriaRelevant degree.Achieved or working towards MCIOB.Additional InformationWillmott Dixon embraces diversity in the workplace and will consider flexible and agile working.
